ABOUT US

FAR ENOUGH TO BE RURAL, BUT CLOSE ENOUGH TO BE METROPOLITAN

A rural area in southeast Nebraska with deep roots in agriculture, Saunders County abounds with locally owned family farms and friendly small communities. The largest of these communities is Wahoo, also the county seat.

In close proximity to the two largest cities in the state, Lincoln and Omaha, Saunders County is one of five Nebraska counties in the eight county Omaha-Council Bluffs Metropolitan Statistical Area. With the extended trade zone area, including the Lincoln metropolitan area, there is a combined statistical area of more than 1.2 million people.

Proximity to these large metro areas provides quick access to diverse cultural, educational, religious, social and recreational activities, as well as workforce of more than 700,000.
